This is my clinical rotation journal of my 11 weeks in Oaxaca, Oaxaca Mexico. In this program we spend two weeks at three different medical locations. My schedule has me going to CS Pueblo Nuevo first, then Hospital Civil, CS Hayuapam, CS Urbano Colonia America, and finally Hospital ISSSTE.After that, we will spend the rest of our time on medical brigades in Puerto Escondido. This journal will focus on my experience at these medical facilities. Specifically, I am going to focus on three things: new things I see and learn, the differences from the US, and my emotional outlook on my experience. The majority of cases in the Centro de Saluds are repetitive so I am only going to focus on these three things. It will make the reading experience more entertaining for you and the writing experience more entertaining for me.
